The Pupil Premium was introduced to narrow the gap in attainment of pupils who are:
- eligible for Free School Meals (FSM)
- children Looked After (CLA)
- pupils in the school who have received FSM in 1 or more of the previous 6 years (Ever 6)
- pupils from Service Families
The DFE states that schools have the freedom to spend this funding as they see fit based upon their knowledge of pupil needs.
You can view or download our Pupil Premium Starategy to find out how this has been used at our school.
Pupil Premium 2015-2016 Allocation of funds
Through a new ‘Sport Premium’ the Government is providing funding to support the delivery of PE and sport in primary schools.
This funding will be ring fenced, and will be allocated directly to primary schools across England, providing them with dedicated resource to buy in invaluable expertise and support. Primary schools will be able to determine what they believe to be the most appropriate use of this funding.
We have the Silver Award in the Sainsbury’s School Games Mark accreditation.
