Welcome to Chester-le-Street CE Primary School; a newly established Church of England Primary School situated on Hilda Park in Chester-Le-Street which has strong links with St. Mary and St. Cuthbert’s Church, Chester-Le-Street.

Chester-le-Street CE Primary School is a happy, safe and welcoming  environment where everyone is valued. Our ambition is to provide opportunities for every child to succeed and to strive towards excellence in everything they do. Our goal is to ensure a positive culture underpinned by Christian Values so all children grow socially, spiritually, personally,          emotionally and academically.

We are a family. Our strength is in our love and respect for one another. Parents are vital partners in helping us achieve our goals and are always welcome in school.

Our website has been designed to give you a taste of our school. Take a look at our curriculum, newsletters and year group pages to see the things we do. Our school is regularly described as being warm, friendly and welcoming and if you are considering our school for your child, we would like to invite you to visit us to meet the children and staff.

We hope you enjoy viewing the site and find it informative; if you require anything further, please do not hesitate to contact me or the office team and we will do our very best to help.

Year 5 Playground Leaders play Bounce Ball with Year 2

Bounce Ball was a range of activities which introduced the children to basic basketball skills. The Year 5 children were shown how to carry out each activity and were given a chance to explain the activity to a friend and to trial the activity. Once they felt confident with each activity they were split into two groups and each group were given a group of Year 2 children to work with. The Year 5 children taught the Year 2 children how to carry out each activity and helped and supported them as they did so. Great fun was had by all!
